At Preferred Care Partner (PCP) Services, we recognize the significance of fostering life skills among individuals with disabilities. Our mission is to empower our participants through our Development-Life Skills program, aiming to enhance their independence and quality of life.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Personal hygiene and grooming
- Meal preparation and cooking
- Budgeting and financial management
- Household management and cleaning
- Time management and organization
- Communication and social skills
We prioritize a personalized approach, collaborating closely with each participant to understand their unique needs and aspirations. Our team of experienced and compassionate staff, under the umbrella of PCP Services, provides tailored guidance, support, and coaching, empowering our participants to develop the skills necessary for independent living.
Moreover, our Development-Life Skills service extends to assisting participants in accessing education and training opportunities. We believe that acquiring new skills and qualifications can unlock various opportunities, and thus, we actively support our participants in identifying and pursuing their interests and passions.
Additionally, we facilitate access to community resources and services, such as libraries, adult education centers, and vocational training programs, enabling our participants to continue their skill development in a community setting.
At PCP Services, we place great emphasis on regular reviews and monitoring to ensure our participants’ progress towards their goals. We conduct comprehensive reviews of support plans and make necessary adjustments to ensure participants receive the tailored support they require.
